LA CHAPELLE DES CORDAY
In the Rouvre Valley, Bréel and its chapels bear witness to the village's granite past
Situated in the Rouvre Valley, this picturesque village has a rich architectural heritage, as evidenced by its stone houses and the bell-topped church with its chapel built by the Corday lords in the 16th century. Its chiselled granite facade is reminiscent of the parish enclosure of Breton villages. Inside, the statuary leaves you speechless. It's easy to see why these statues are of such interest to archaeologists. Another of the village's wonders is the little chapel of Blanc Rocher, which, at the bend in the path, bears witness to Bréel's granite past.
