The Bronte Hotel is well known in Harare. It is a superb colonial building encircling a haven of greenery and palm trees. One feels quickly out of the capital when one strolls around the pool in this flowery garden, which invites to relax. The rooms with their small balconies also have a certain charm. Two restaurants are available within the hotel: Palm's, which offers breakfast and buffets on its pretty terrace overlooking the garden, and Emmanuel's, more upscale with its white tablecloths and elegant atmosphere.

Previous review with bad experience updated 12 March 2024. What a great turnaround from the previous visit exactly 4 years ago. The last time I could only award 1 star due to the unprofessional and offish attitude of front desk staff. This time was the polar opposite and the reason for the well deserved 4 stars. From arrival at the gate, the security guard was very freindly and helpful. Ths reception lady was also very freindly and xourteious and went out of her way to personally show me the way to my room and also assissted with connecting to the hotel wifi. The room was spacious and well maintained and cleaned. There was a faint foul mouldy smell in the bathroom but this was my only negative experience. The restaurant service at dinner was very good and all the dishes were well prepared, professionally plated and very tasty. Well done to the management and team at The Bronte Gardens Hotel. I have stayed in many different hotels in Harare with mixed experiences. I will gladly return for my next business trip.
