Frog and Fern is one of the most pleasant and charming accommodations in the area. It is an excellent base for exploring the mountains. It has five fully-equipped cabins, each of which sleeps between 2 and 7 people. The interior is a delightful blend of wood and stone. The walls are decorated with paintings by Dee, one of the owners, who is a talented naturalist painter. For the campers, the establishment has pitches with sanitary facilities, hot water, barbecue, all in a beautiful garden with trees.

We were happy with our overnight stay. We were returning from camping so we had all the food items we needed to make our meals. Beds were comfortable and shower was warm (not cold and not scalding). (You bring your own toiletries.) We had a warm welcome at the gate and assistance in bringing up our belongings.
Just be careful about the outdoor steps. It’s not living in the lap of luxury but just what we needed.
Note: Google Maps if off by about 500m. You have to drive to where it says Kwesu Cottages.
There is no wifi. You can use your own cell service.
