In 1996, an old farmhouse at the entrance to the park was converted into a lodge restaurant. Farmhouse, on the edge of a beautiful granite outcrop, now consists of 12 thatched rooms with two beds, a bathroom and lounge, a restaurant, a traditional boma and a large swimming pool. The camping area is located high in the hills and has a splendid view of the surrounding landscape. It has all the necessary amenities, straw hut, sanitary facilities, but does not have electricity.

The Farmhouse is absolutely amazing...we camped at The Platform viewing area and the campsite...best campsite we've found overlanding for 8 months.. their chalets, too, are very reasonable...you won't be disappointed with 3 days relaxing here....

The Farmhouse is a beautiful place, with lots of animals, great campsites and VERY clean ablutions. Roads very well signposted. We drove all over in our CRV so 4×4 is not needed. There is a swimming pool near the restaurant. The campsites are very well kept. There are tables, chairs and braais (barbecues) all over. Ablutions all incredibly clean. Shower heads need a big wash though. Our wood didn't get restocked so we had to go scavenging for some. Before you want hot water you have to get the boiler going. The wood wasn't restocked for the boiler either. You get given a map at reception when you pay which needs to be returned when leaving. There is a feeding area at 16:00 which is marked as "Feeding" on the map. No soap in the showers or at the basin, so be sure to bring sponges, drying towels, dish soap and body soap. Don't forget a First Aid Kit, just in case. I highly recommend The Framhouse!

Hi, Glad you enjoyed, sorry the wood wasn't restocked. We normally try to make sure that is done! True we don't provide soap shampoo etc for campers. Thanks so much for the nice review. Hope to see you again. Kind Regards, Kyle

Can't comment on accomodations because it was a day trip but the animal viewing experience is simply awesome
