DOMAINE RÉMY LUTZ
This 8 ha family estate produces wines from all the Alsatian grape varieties, as well as a Klevener de Heiligenstein, whose original grape variety is Savagnin rose. The charming town of Bourgheim is one of the five communes where its planting is authorised. The estate has plots of land in the area known as Oberau (clayey-limestone soil with a south-east exposure), a terroir favourable to the development of Gewurztraminer. The Lutz family is very attached to the respect of traditions. Depending on the grape varieties, the vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats or in wooden tuns. Yeasting (indigenous) is practised exclusively for the Crémant d'Alsace and AOC wines. We taste with pleasure the good vintages of this estate which are offered at very reasonable prices: Riesling Vieilles Vignes, Crémant d'Alsace Blanc Brut or Rosé, Rouge d'Ottrott, Gewurztraminer Cuvée Prestige, and of course the famous klevener of Heiligenstein!
