This curious monument was built in honor of the 86 workers who lost their lives during the construction of the dam. The originality of its architecture lies in the symbolism of its details: circular in shape, like the formwork, the church is composed of seven entrance arches evoking the seven days of the week and six concrete pillars representing the six gates of the dam. The colors of the interior walls are those of the Italian flag, while the small curved wall behind the altar is a symbolic representation of the dam itself.
