Château housing one of the largest private collections in Normandy.
Château de Médavy was a former stronghold of the Duchy of Normandy in the 12th century. Surrounded by greenery, including a superb avenue of lime trees, the present-day château was built between 1703 and 1725 in an architectural style inspired by Mansart. Frequent restoration work has restored the covered enclosure, the Saint-Pierre tower and the moat to their former glory. The château houses one of the largest private collections in Normandy: ship models, globes and atlases from the 16th to the 18th centuries, contemporary art collection in the tower.
