Located on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Ito, Shizuoka Prefecture, Traditional Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen is an elegant hostel housed in a 100-year-old historic building. It overlooks the Matsukawa River and is just a 7-minute walk from Ito Station. The hostel offers sober, friendly dormitories with free Wi-Fi, as well as single rooms with en suite bathrooms. Facilities include a shared kitchen, dining area, cosy TV lounge and onsen-style thermal baths fed by a natural hot spring. The friendly, relaxed staff speak English and the hostel is appreciated for its excellent value for money. It's also conveniently located, close to the city center, beach, public transport, restaurants, bars and sights such as the Izu Cactus Park botanical garden. From 8am to 9pm.

Il s'agit de la plus belle surprise de notre voyage au Japon. Nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce ryokan en revenant de Kyoto (petit détour avant de retourner à Tokyo) : ambiance dépaysante et totalement traditionnelle, l'auberge est magnifique, le personnel est très très agréable (petite visite à l'arrivée de la demeure, explication du plan de la ville..etc), et beaucoup de choses à disposition (salon, cuisine wifi et "salle" informatique). La chambre est typiquement japonaise, (futons et tatamis) avec une petite véranda donnant sur la rivière : le paradis! Quant aux onsens, ils sont sublimes! Les plus beau de notre voyage! Le ryokan est plutôt bien situé, puisqu'il n'est pas loin des magasins, de la mer, et de la gare. Les chambres sont très peu cher par rapport aux prestations. Nous y retournerons, c'est sûr!
