WILD GARDENS OF ACADIA
Botanical garden with short hiking trails, with over 400 varieties of flowers and plants.
Established in 1961, this botanical garden today is home to over 400 varieties of flowers and plants, most of which are native to Maine and particularly the Mount Desert Island area. The garden is crisscrossed by short hiking trails, dotted with benches, including the Jesup Trail that leads to Bar Harbor. It is followed for a long time by a wooden footbridge, which blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature and passes through white birch trees. The place is restful, one feels in harmony with nature.
