Small monument in the heart of the park with several traditional hiking trails that lead to Bar Harbor.
It's the heart of the park. Its facilities include the Nature Center, the Abbe Museum and the Wild Gardens of Acadia. Several traditional hiking trails start here, including the 1.5 mile Jesup Trail to Bar Harbor. Also located here is the Sieur de Mont Spring House, a small monument built in 1909 by George B. Dorr, the park's first superintendent and one of its most important contributors.
