An ideal observation post for birdwatchers
The Mai Po nature reserve is a birdwatcher's paradise. Classified as a wetland of international importance, it welcomes thousands of migratory birds every year, including the rare and protected black-faced spoonbill. Its vast marshes, mangrove swamps and fish ponds offer a rich, well-preserved ecosystem. In addition to birds, a number of reptiles make their home here, including the 1.50 m-long Chinese cobra. Accessible by guided tour only.
