The Río de las Vueltas is ideal for a leisurely stroll and for trout and salmon fishing

El Chaltén is located at the confluence of the Río de las Vueltas and the Río Fitz Roy. A pleasant stroll at the end of the day is to leave from Río de las Vueltas street and turn left to go up to the old Tony Egger capilla (chapel). Shortly afterwards you can cross the river and head for the house of Andrea Madsen, the first inhabitant of the village. It is also possible to survey the Rio by kayak. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy trout and salmon fishing.
