EISENHOWER NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
This is the "Temporary White House", the one Dwight David Eisenhower says "Ike", (34 th President of the United States, elected in 1953 and 1961) as a country house during both terms. The Chief of the United States military staff, in particular, he illustrated during the Second world War, alongside the Allies. He has received a large number of senior officials, including many heads of state, such as Nikita Khrushchev or Charles de Gaulle, in this historic house. By visiting him, we learn a little more about the couple he formed with Grandma, his wife, and his daily life, very close to the average American. We will also see the office of the secret agents who worked on the ground for its protection. Far from the stories of civil war, clean at Gettysburg, the house of Eisenhower allows to discover, in a roundabout way, another part of American history. Very interesting.
