NOTRE DAME CHURCH
This building, on the site of the former chapel of Fort Toussaint, was rebuilt and enlarged after the Hundred Years' War.
Situated on the site of the former chapel of Fort Toussaint, the church was rebuilt after the Hundred Years' War. Around 1620, the tower was topped with a slate dome, which burned down in 1887. Probably badly restored, the tower finally collapsed in 1890. Inside, you can admire the carved cross-arches and the stained glass windows, both old and contemporary, including a stained glass window by Barillet honoring Joan of Arc and the soldiers of 14-18, and another featuring Pierre Boucher, the native son and co-founder of Quebec.
