CHAPELLE ET CLOÎTRE SAINT-FRANÇOIS
Chapel and cloister of the former convent of Saint-François founded by Marguerite de Lorraine
The chapel and cloister of the former convent of Saint-François, founded by Marguerite de Lorraine in 1502, are an architectural and pictorial gem. Entrance is via the 16th-century cloister. A covered gallery surrounds the quadrilateral inner garden, in keeping with the symbolic representation of Paradise. Maintained thanks to donations, the adjoining chapel features polychrome frescoes, Gothic-style windows and fine furnishings.
