CHÂTEAU D'Ô
Flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance-style castle, located on an island in the heart of a pond, which is reflected in the water.
Built in the flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles, the château was erected on the ruins of an ancient fortress by the first lords of Ô after the Hundred Years’ War and rebuilt between the 15th and 17th centuries. In the 1970s, Jacques and Yolande Lacretelle, with the support of the Monuments Historiques, restored it to its former glory. Set on an island in the heart of a pond, it is built on stilts and mirrored in the water. With its high roofs and tapering turrets, its period facade is richly decorated.
