This "green" winery at Château de Peralada is the first in Europe to achieve LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
Inaugurated in May 2022, this new cellar of the castle of Peralada was designed by the architectural firm RCR Arquitectes, winner of the 2017 Pritzker Prize, with the aim of making it a "green" cellar, in particular by partially burying it. The project was a success, as it is the first cellar in Europe to have obtained the LEED Gold sustainability certificate issued by the US Green Building Council, the benchmark organization for eco-construction. A place to discover through guided tours of the place, accompanied by wine tasting.
