CLOISTER SANT DOMÈNEC
Discover with an audioguide this Romanesque monument of the XIIth century which is the only preserved testimony of the ancient Augustinian monastery
This 12th century Romanesque monument is the only preserved testimony of the former Augustinian monastery founded in the second half of the 11th century. Columns and capitals come from the cloister of the early Romanesque monastery. However, it is the latter, 52 in all, that constitute the major attraction of this monument, offering a great thematic richness mixing vegetal and geometrical motifs and zoological figures. A very useful audio guide is available and included in the entrance fee. In July and August it hosts concert cycles.
