SEGENEITI WOMAN TRAINING CENTRE WORKSHOP
The initial project was to open a workshop to employ the widows of war so that they could support the needs of their families, by forming them in sewing and embroidery. Today, 50 women are employed by the project and weave into the Netsela hand (these huge white cotton stoles in which Eritrean women spawn when they go out on the street) and robes. Everything is made on site and it is possible to buy what you will see at the small shop atenante at the workshop. The items are of better quality than could be found in Asmara, since hand-woven) and prices are lower.
