FORMER FRENCH HOSPITAL
A former French hospital, a charming historical setting in the center of Faskrudsf Jördur.
The former French hospital, built in 1903 for the Norman fishermen who plied the Icelandic coasts at the time, has been returned to its original location in the heart of the town to be revived as a hotel with the participation of the town of Paimpol to commemorate the French influence in this part of Iceland. This magnificent restoration gives an idea of the former quaint charm of the hospital and doctor's residence. Today, the Fosshotel Eastfjords is established on these premises, as is its restaurant.
