The Central, like many of the facilities in this part of Downtown, also enjoys access by The Alley, the very fashionable Alley lane. It is established in the old superbly renovated deposits of the company Schloss and Kahn (1890). It is pleasing to sit in the large hall with apparent brick walls, lit by gas lanterns, and watch cooks prepare meals in the open kitchen. Seafood, meat, vegetables are mostly from the region for a gourmand result that combines international influences and southern cuisine.
