The Montgomery Zoo was established in 1935 in Oak Park, a southern neighbourhood, before moving to its current address in 1972. It houses over 500 ha of 16 animals from all continents, with an African area larger than the others. Lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, rhino evolve on day-parole in large spaces where the natural environment is particularly well represented. Other attractions proposed by the zoo include: small train, animation sessions with elephants, horseback riding, racing in pedal boats…

The Mann Museum, opened in 2003, is next to the zoo. It is a museum of natural history that exhibits exhibitions of animals from the North American continent, such as deer, bears, skunks, grouse… but also reptiles, fish and insects, some fossils and exhibitions relating to prehistory (saber-toothed tigers, wolves, woolly mammoth and other creatures).
