OLD ALABAMA TOWN
There are no new facades or buildings built here. The houses in this downtown area date back to the th and early th centuries and have been restored to be presented as an outdoor museum. The ensemble represents over houses, ranging from beautiful antebellum homes to wooden huts. When buying their ticket at the Old Alabama Town reception Centre, visitors receive a brochure with a plan to guide them through their walk. Everyone is free to explore Old Town at its own pace. Extras in time costume distributed on the course are available to answer questions. A complete guided tour of Ordeman House (1850), located at 310 North Hull Street, is included in the ticket price.
