The Downtown Temple (or Scottish Rite Temple) is a former Masonic temple, built in 1921-1922 by the architect George Bigelow Rogers (1870–1945), such as Grande Loge of the Ancient and Nationalized Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. The forms of the building are inspired by the architecture of Ancient Egypt. The two entrance doors, on the east and north façades, are replicas of those of the temple of Karnak. That of the entrance is flanked by two sphinx. The roof is surmounted by two obelisks-shaped chimneys. The building is now a rental room.
