If you decide to explore Uptown on foot, walk up Tryon Street and feel free to push the door of one of the huge glass buildings to get behind the scenes and join the Overstreet Mall. There are several entry points that are not always very identifiable. However, you can easily reach Overstreet Mall through the entrance to Wells Fargo Building No. 2. Then take the escalators on your left when you have the front door behind you. The passage will lead you to bypass a car park and sneak from building to building. Then take a stroll around Arcades Latta and return to the Romare park, created in 2015. Located on the site of a former car park, the park with its magnificent fountain that changes colours at night and offers a breathtaking view of the skyline, has transformed this part of the city. Brand new buildings with luxury apartments are constantly emerging all around the green space. Just behind is the Bank of America Stadium where the Carolina Panthers play. Heading to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, you can admire the statue of the man known as the "chicken disco" and feel free to play a few games in the very pretty park of The Green.
