A very good introduction to the history of the region, first agricultural, with the many cotton farms, then working class, with the creation of many cotton factories and the movement of people from the countryside to the cities. The museum also retraces Charlotte's history, particularly from an economic point of view, with the creation of companies that have become leaders on the national market such as Bank of America and Bojangle's. The museum also discusses the social evolution of the city and looks back at strong movements such as feminist demonstrations and the period of racial segregation.
