BILTMORE ESTATE
The area of Biltmore is one of Asheville's main cultural attractions. It houses the country's largest private dwelling, which was built in 1895 at the request of George Vanderbilt, son of the businessman William Vanderbilt, the richest man in the world in 1820. The architect was inspired by the Château de Blois to make this stay today transformed into a museum. It is a popular attraction among Americans, but it may not have the same impact on French-inhabited travelers to visit castles and other historic monuments; All the same as the entry is really not given. The first part of the visit leads the visitor of pieces to pieces, in some of them, there are costumes and objects that have served the film filming that took place on the spot.
The second part of the visit, which is more interesting to us, takes place in the basements that formerly housed the kitchens and various entertainment rooms such as an indoor swimming pool or bowling room. The entrance also allows access to the cellar with wine tasting. In the beautiful days, the gardens offer a beautiful walk.
