THE GEORGIA MUSEUM OF ART
The Georgia Museum of Art is both the national art museum of Georgia and a university museum under the aegis of Georgia University. Founded in 1945, he occupies the current places (the Performing and Visual Arts Comples on the campus) since 1996. Its latest expansion was completed in 2011. It houses a permanent collection of over 8 000 works of art as well as several temporary exhibitions. The majority of works of American origin were donated by the philantrope Alfred Heber Holbrook. The visit of the building continues with that of Jane and Harry Willson Sculpture Garden.
