T.R.R. COBB HOUSE
Built in 1852 in Greec Revival style, T.R.R. Cobb House is known for its pink and white facade and octagonal wings. His first owner, Thomas Reade Rootes Cobb (1823-1862) was a brilliant lawyer and politician who found death as a confederate officer at the Bataille battle. This house remained vacant for 20 years before being restored and opened to the public in August 2007. During this period (in 2005), and for the small history, T.R.R. Cobb House was dismantled and transferred to Stone Mountain Park, 90 km away, to be exposed. The project cost more than expected, the house was finally retransportée so far to get there.
