This castle, classified as a historical monument in 1930, is one of the oldest medieval castles in Alsace

The castle of Ferrette is one of the oldest medieval castles in Alsace. Classified as a historical monument in 1930, the ruins were restored and then sold to a family from Sundgau. The access to the ruins is easy and free, but be careful to wear shoes (15 min walk). The entrance is via a wooded access road and a magnificent vaulted door that gives access to the two parts of the ruins: the lower castle of the 15th century and the upper castle with a dungeon at the top of which a platform allows you to enjoy a superb panorama.

Haben an Silvester eine Fackelwanderung um das Dorf Ferrette gemacht und dann auf die Burgruine. Alles Organisiert vom Tourismus Verband Sundgau Altkirch. Oben auf der Burg gab es live Musik und Getränke. Ein Glas ???? war auch dabei. Aber das beste war das sehr leckere Essen was es zuvor gab. Frittierter Karpfen mit Pommes und Salat. Vielen Dank an die vielen Helfer.

Il faut absolument monter en haut des ruines si le temps le permet. Panorama à 360 degrés sur les Vosges, l'Alsace et la Forêt Noire.
