This large white building was built in 1818 as a wedding gift. She was also the home of one of the first governors of Mississippi, General John A. Quitman (1798-1858). We could then visit it, now it is a very well-known hotel, as well as a restaurant. It is true that the benefit is a luxury. The rooms are furnished to the old. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
