This majestic mansion is the only Antebellum house in Mississippi, completely surrounded by colonnades. It was built in 1856 by Charles Dahlgren on a plot occupied previously by Routland, a house that burned in 1855 after being struck by lightning. As a result, Dunleith has several dependencies built around 1790.
