MARY MAHONEY'S OLD FRENCH HOUS
It was a French settler, Louis Frasier, who built this house in 1737. It has the charm of the buildings in New Orleans, with the same high ceilings of the apartments of the Old Square. Left in the hands of the heirs of the Frasier family until 1820, it was then acquired by different owners. It was in 1962 that the building was acquired by Mary Mahoney, her husband and brother. He has since remained in the family. Great care has been taken to preserve the charm and character of this beautiful establishment with apparent brick walls, pine floors and chimneys. Despite the damage caused by Katrina in 2005. There are specialities from the south and many dishes that make use of seafood products. A very good address.
