Right next to the Civil Rights Museum, one of the most popular places to try out the famous Memphis barbecue. The premises are already crowded early in the morning and in the afternoon, for lunch and dinner respectively. The barbecue comes in the form of plates or sandwiches and is accompanied by 2 sides (side dishes) including traditional Mac-n-Cheese, potato salad, baked beans (flageolets prepared in a barbecue sauce), among others. Desserts are also known to be fabulous. At the top of the list is banana pudding. We order at the counter and then settle in the large main room or in the colourful decor of the outdoor terrace.
