BEALE STREET
The street dedicated to some of the greatest blues artists is located in the heart of Memphis. Although Beale Street measures nearly 1,2 miles long, only the part between South 2 nd Street and South 3 rd Street has real interest (just 200 metres). Whether it's the B.B. King Blues Club, the first of a long series of clubs created in 1991 by B.B. King himself, or Rum Boogie Cafe that regularly hosts excellent artists, live music lovers will find their happiness by moving here. At Beale Street, you are also at the foot of the FedEx Forum (the huge omnisport room, the basketball hall and the Memphis Grizzlies) and the Memphis Rock'n'Soul Museum, just a few steps away from Gibson Factory. At 4 th Street, after the New Daisy Theatre, you will find the museum dedicated to the famous musician William Christopher Handy (1873/1958), considered "The Father of The Blues" (the father of the blues).
