Visiting the Tennessee West Heritage Center Delta, you will discover the Flagg Grove School, which was the school and classroom of young Anna Mae Bullock, alias Tina Turner. Here you will see a collection of personal memories of the star, from its high school agenda to its costumes by passing its gold discs. The visit will also help you better understand the teaching environment of young Afro-American students in the years 1940-50. Read: Anna Mae Bullock was born on November 26, 1939, in a small community called Nutbush (17 miles northwest, on Highway 19). His school, Flagg Grove School, was moved to the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in 2012. Tina Turner Heritage Days takes place every year on the 4 th weekend of September. Singer's fans come from all over the world to celebrate their idol.
