FLYING SAUCER DRAUGHT EMPORIUM
Yet there's nothing impersonal or global about this chain. Flying Saucer began in 1995, and today there are more than 15 locations across the southern United States. It all started with beer, with the idea of marketing drinks from local, craft breweries.
Then a culinary side was added. At first, basic bar dishes were served to accompany the beers, notably the famous chicken wings. Today, the menu pays particular attention to quality, with German influences such as sauerkraut (pickled cabbage), sausages and delicious pretzels, and a Latino touch amid a menu of burgers, salads, soups and pizzas.
If you're a beer lover, you should be in for a treat. Tasting trays can be a good option for testing four different beers, either predefined with the Ops 101 version, or to be customized.
