LECONTE LODGE
The only lodge available in the national park, accessible on foot and ideal for those who love peace and quiet
Managed by the National Park Service, this lodge is the only one available in the national park. It is only accessible on foot via one of the five hiking trails leading to the summit of Mount Leconte (2,010 m altitude). It's a real luxury to get there, both from a budget point of view (we're way ahead of camping rates here) and because of its attractiveness: places are very scarce and it's best to make your reservation as soon as the next season opens (usually early August of the previous year). Its authentic wooden decor and unique natural setting seem to have made its reputation and success with locals and lovers of the great outdoors.
