NATURAL ENTRANCE ROUTE
The Natural Entrance Route is suitable for visitors who have time and are in good physical condition
The Natural Entrance Route is suitable for visitors who have time and are in good physical condition. This 2 km tour follows the traditional exploration route, entering the cave through the large historic natural entrance. It descends more than 225 m underground along steep, narrow paths, through a large, spacious passage called the main corridor. The route ends at the start of the Big Room Route. Visitors (in good shape) wishing to do both routes can start from the Natural Entrance Route. Under the lights, along this route, we discover Bat Cave, Devil's Spring, Green Lake and the Overlook Boneyard, a complex labyrinth of large eroded limestone rocks. Iceberg Rock, a 200,000-ton rock that fell from the cave ceiling thousands of years ago, is a must-see. In season, it's possible to take part in a guided tour led by rangers.
