AZTEC RUINS NATIONAL MONUMENT
National Monument offering the possibility to walk through a site composed of ancient ruins of anasazi people
These Anasazi constructions date from the 11th and 13th centuries. Descriptions of this site can be found in the Pueblo culture, as it is said to have been part of their migratory journey. Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit a large Pueblo house with almost 400 rooms. Kivas (ceremonial rooms) are omnipresent. You can even see the original framework supporting the roof, as well as the footprints of the former inhabitants in the mortar.
