This church has survived through the centuries and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Built in 1797, it represents a specific style of wooden constructions. It stands on a stone base, its wooden walls are not plastered like most of these buildings, the walls are blackened by the years. The door and window bars are the only elements painted blue. Thanks to the relationship between the vertical and horizontal dominants, the church takes on a massive appearance. An octagonal bell tower raises it above the narthex, the porch serves as an entrance and the altar has the peculiarity of being pentagonal. Six small windows light up the interior. A technical specificity is to be noted, that of the rough-hewn beams installed horizontally with a half-timbered assembly, a technique preferred by the masters of this period. The roof and the bell tower are covered with wooden tiles. The building would have been restored around 1849. Some villagers believe that an older church dating back to 1374 or the reign of Stephen the Great (1457-1504) may have been built on this site. What is more certain is that the present church dates from the 18th century and was restored in the 19th century. The icons are old. The building is surrounded by the village cemetery and many trees. A second church dating from 1890 and with typical architecture of that time is visible at a little more than 200 m. It stands out for its white and sky blue colours, as well as its roof and bell tower with silvery reflections.
