Victor Schœlcher, a convinced humanist, was one of those who fought to defend human rights. A journalist and politician, he died in 1893 and is buried in the Pantheon. In 2015, Fessenheim, his father's hometown, offered him its museum, where numerous original works, period objects and porcelain will immerse you in the history of the 19th century. Since 2020: an escape game will take you on a quest for the abolition decree.
