THE BOMAVÉ GARDEN
Bomavé Konaté, with his dreadlocks and his grizzly beard, came from the family of the Fory Forgers bwaba from Oury, where he could have become forge master. His know-how and singularity enabled him to name himself throughout the country and in Europe, where he exhibited very regularly. It was "done" Human Treasure by the Ministry of Culture in 2016. In his "corner", with his brother Tankien, he sculpted masks and other sacred objects for the traditional ceremonies of the surrounding villages. There are of course bwaba masks, but also zoomorphs, bobo… The meeting with this unclassifiable artist is really exciting.
