CATEDRAL DE SAN JOSÉ DE TULA
Cathedral with a sober decoration, allowing to attend the ceremonies organized by the different families of the province
Erected in the middle of the 16th century, the cathedral of Tula was originally a convent of the Franciscan order, dedicated to the patriarch St. Joseph. It was elevated to the status of a cathedral in 1961. Inside, the decoration is rather sober and the vault of the unique nave is covered with golden ribs. It is possible to attend the ceremonies organized by the different families of the province, such as the Quinceañeras (15 years celebration), weddings and masses.
