It is the most touristic island of the region, with a huge statue of José Maria Morelos, 47.7 meters high, looking like a golgoth.

This is the region's most touristy island, literally packed with souvenir shops and other eateries. Its main attraction is a huge 47.7 m Golgoth-like statue of José María Morelos. An interior staircase leads up to the statue, where you can admire the beautiful views of the lake.

Zipline : a cable has been stretched to link the island of La Tecuena 1.2 km away. For $300, you can descend at over 100 km/h, with the ride taking between one and two minutes. The boat ride back to Janitzio is included.
