One of the oldest buildings in the site, which is built around a patio with several living rooms in Monte Alban

It is one of the oldest buildings on the site, built during Phase I of Monte Albán, at the beginning of its expansion (between 300 and 800). It is built around a courtyard with several living rooms. It is covered with numerous stelae that represent characters, accompanied by calendrical and anthroponymic inscriptions. They are known as Los Danzantes, "the dancers", since the figures are represented in movement, in a dynamic posture, especially in comparison with other human representations of the Zapotec culture.

Cet édifice nommé Temple des Danseurs ou Los Danzantes est l’un des plus anciens du site. Je l’ai trouvé surprenant !

Site exceptionnel, et cet édifice est réellement unique, les figures représentées sont uniques au Mexique et très bien préservées, c'est vraiment quelque chose à voir lors de votre séjour !!

Un panorama exceptionnel. On sera heureux de pouvoir parcourir toutes les constructions du site. Payer les services d'un guide peut être assez intéressant, ce dernier vous expliquera tout les petits détail du folklore des peuples habitants ces lieux. Une chose est sûre l’appareil photo ne restera pas dans son étui bien longtemps. Et si vous avez des amis mexicains avec qui vous voulez partager ce moment, prévilégiez un dimanche, leur entrée sera gratuite.

The site of Monte Alban, a few minutes from the city of Oaxaca, is magnificent. An advice, go with the opening, then only on site. Bring hats, because the site is not shaded...):
