A beautiful petrified waterfall of white-green color surrounded by a park for bathing in Hierve el Agua.

After passing through Mitla, continue along the road, past the junction for Xaaga, then head south towards San Lorenzo Albarradas and take a dirt track to Hierve el Agua. This is a superb waterfall of petrified white-green water, 50 metres above the valley. The site is surrounded by a park that can be explored at leisure. It's also possible to swim in some of the reservoirs, in front of a magnificent panorama. There's a yu'u, so you can even sleep there!

Only one word: MAGNIFICENT! If you stay in the region of Oaxaca, it is unmissable! We went to our own car (rental). Despite that you could hear, the site is reached by car! Even if sometimes the journey is a little " mouvementé" :) the site is famous for its petrified waterfalls and its green suspended lakes, blue, yellow... A marvel.
