JARDIN DE LA PETITE ROCHELLE
A charming, poetic garden combining English abundance and French architecture, featuring rare species.
In 1976, Hélène d'Andlau, a former member of the French Resistance and an artist gardener, began creating the Jardins de La Petite Rochelle on the edge of Rémalard, creating over the years a succession of ten gardens combining trees, shrubs, climbers and perennials. The one-and-a-half hectare garden is now maintained by an endowment fund. Combining English-style abundance with open French-style architecture, the site is full of charm and poetry.
