PIANO ESPOO
The PianoEspoo Festival is an annual musical event held in Espoo. It offers a celebration of piano music, from the classics to the avant-garde. The festival takes place every two years in autumn, in concert halls in Espoo and Helsinki, as well as in other unique venues. Artistic director is Emil Holmström. The program includes a variety of concerts featuring renowned artists such as Joonas Ahonen, Marianna Henriksson, Pekka Kuusisto and many others. Historic instruments will also be showcased, including a concert in the dining room and vaulted cellar of the Alberga manor house. The festival also organizes the Tapiola Youth Piano Competition, an international piano competition for young pianists. The PianoEspoo Festival is a must for piano music lovers in Espoo.
