MUSEO COMCAAC
Museum presenting an excellent synthesis of the history of the ethnic group and its resistance to the Spanish and Jesuit invader.
The Seri (or Comcaac) are semi-nomadic indigenous people from the region. The museum presents an excellent synthesis of the history of the ethnic group and its resistance to the Spanish and Jesuit invaders. It also proposes some magnificent pieces of wood carved in palo fierro. To know more about this ethnic group, other than in museums, the best is to go and meet some of its members. The Seris live today around two major poles in Sonora, along the coast in Desemboque and Punta Chueca (30 km from Bahía Kino).
